He began his career in the 1980s as an information analyst for the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and later served as a payroll benefits analyst for the Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services. Nass also had a distinguished military career, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant from the Wisconsin Air National Guard after 33 years, including deployments in Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, and support of no-fly zones in Iraq and Bosnia. Currently, he owns and manages a small rental housing business in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
