Matt Pierce holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and political science from Indiana University, followed by a law degree from the Indiana University School of Law. He began his career in public service as a legislative assistant, research and policy analyst, and attorney for the Indiana General Assembly. Pierce transitioned to local politics, serving on Bloomington’s City Council and later as principal clerk for the Indiana House of Representatives. He also acted as chief of staff for a Congressman and was elected to the Indiana House of Representatives. Currently, Pierce is a Senior Lecturer in the Media School at Indiana University-Bloomington, where he emphasizes the importance of higher education in his fields of expertise.
