She began her career in public service as a training and special projects manager for Volunteer Maryland. Feldmark then transitioned to the Howard County Council, where she served in various roles, including special assistant and senior advisor, culminating in her position as chief of staff. After leaving the council, she became the county council administrator for Howard County. Feldmark has also held leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and was a founding board member of Neighbor Ride.
