Heather Boyd holds a BA in History from the University of Michigan and two advanced degrees in Art History and History of American Civilization. Before entering politics, she taught history and art history at both high school and college levels. Boyd has held various leadership roles, including Chief of Staff for a Pennsylvania State Representative, District Director and Senior Advisor for a Congresswoman, and founder of the Delaware County Chapter of NOW. She also chaired the Upper Darby Democratic Committee for seven years. Boyd was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a special election, maintaining the Democrats' majority.
