Tunney's Senate campaign and assisting Tom Bradley's mayoral win in Los Angeles. He held various state government positions, including chief of staff to Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. and Assemblyman from the 43rd district. As State Controller, Davis saved taxpayers significant funds and returned billions in unclaimed property to citizens.
