Currently, she is a PhD candidate in geology at the University of British Columbia. Sheehan has extensive experience in the fashion industry, having worked as a clothing designer for prominent brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, John Varvatos, Evisu, Carter's, Fossil Group, and JCPenney. In 2019, she ventured into the hospitality sector by opening a wine bar in Biddeford, Maine. In November 2020, she was elected to the Maine House of Representatives, assuming office the following month.
