David T. Vieira attended Falmouth High School and holds an MPA degree from Suffolk University. He began his civic engagement early, participating in Massachusetts American Legion Boys State and representing Massachusetts at American Legion Boys Nation in 1992. Vieira has held a continuous role in local governance, serving as a Falmouth Town Meeting Member from 1997 to 1998 and as Moderator of the Falmouth Town Meeting since 1998. Currently, he is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the 3rd Barnstable district.
