He spent several years in the construction industry, culminating in a vice president role for his father's company until 2020. Wylie transitioned to public service, serving on the Rock Springs Planning and Zoning Commission and subsequently winning a seat in the Wyoming House of Representatives for District 39 in 2020. He currently chairs committees on Corporations, Elections & Political Subdivisions, and Transportation, Highways & Military Affairs. Wylie has sponsored legislation aimed at economic improvements, including a bill to enhance worker's compensation.
