He began his career as an aide to a congresswoman in Washington, D.C., and later transitioned to local government, serving on the Wyckoff Township Committee and as mayor of Wyckoff. DePhillips spent over a decade in the private sector, most recently as chief operating officer and general counsel at a life sciences firm. He currently practices law as an equity partner in a private firm and leads the GOP conference in the New Jersey Assembly.
