Christopher J. King grew up in Middletown Township, Bucks County, and graduated from Neshaminy High School and Millersville University. He began his career in public service by entering the race for state representative in 2002, although he lost to the incumbent. King later won the primary election in 2006 with a significant majority and subsequently served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 142nd District from 2007 to 2008. His political career continued with a defeat in the 2008 re-election bid.
